❖ Tour of Berat. Visit Barat Castle, part of UNESCO Heritage Medieval Towns, is a fortress dates from the 13th century and contains many Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, 24 towers, acropolis and water cisterns, enriched with typical houses in the numerous cobble stone alleys. It is built on a rocky hill on the left bank of the river Osum and is accessible only from the south of the castle.
