After breakfast we check out and transfer to the airport for our flight to Hanoi. On arrival, we proceed with the city tour by going on an orientation walk at Ba Dinh Square and take photos of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from outside. Pass through the One Pillar Pagoda and then visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, which is the most ancient pagoda in Hanoi. The next stop is Hoa Lo Prison Museum, ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. We then visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Constructed in 1070, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We continue the tour by visiting the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake and then take a leisure cyclo for 45 minutes around the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
